In the view of the breakout of COVID-19 pandemic and the operational challenges, FSSAI has decided not to consider the penalties accrued from the period of 22nd March 2020 to 31st December 2020 after considering the nationwide pandemic situation and in coherence with the orders issued for extension of Annual and Half-yearly returns submissions dates till 31st December 2020.
FSSAI has given an extension for the Half Yearly and Annual returns submission.
Generally, all the FBOs involved in manufacturing or processing including Relabllers or Repackers and Importers are required to submit the annual return of the preceding year by 31st May FBOs involved in manufacturing or processing of Milk and Milk products are required to submit the half-yearly return within one month of the end of the preceding half-year.
Submission dates for the annual return for FY 2019-2020 and half-yearly return for October 2019- March 2020 and from April 2020 to September 2020 extended till 31st December 2020.
Returns are required to be submitted with concerned licensing authority using the prescribed forms.
Manufacturers or Processors including Relabllers or Repackers and Importers are required to submit the annual return in using Form D-1 and FBOs involved in the manufacturing or processing of Milk and Milk products are required to submit the half-yearly return using FORM D-2.
These returns can be sent physically or through email to the concerned licensing authority.
