In the wake of the emergency situation in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FSSAI has given a relief to FBOs regarding application for renewal of Expired or expiring food licenses or registrations, required to operate as a food business operator.
The FBOs whose license/registration has expired or is expiring during the period 22nd March 2020 to 31st July 2020 are given a grace period to apply for renewal of their license or registration till 31st July without any late fee.
Moreover, FSSAI has also given a grace period to the FBOs of UTs of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh whose license/registration has expired or is expiring during the period from 1st August 2019 till 31st July 2020
In the interim period, licenses/registration shall be deemed to be valid.
