The Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) on June 05, 2020, has approved the method for detection of 2-Acetylfuran- 3-Glucopyranoside Isomaltol(2-AFGP) or 3-O-Alpha-D-Glucosyl Isomaltol a Specific Marker for Rice Syrup by LC-MS.
It is decided to reinstate the parameter Specific Marker for Rice Syrup (SMR) in the Table at Serial no. 13 under Food Safety and Standards (Food Products Standards and Food Additives) Regulations.
As of now, the parameters and corresponding entries at serial 14 and 15 will be omitted.
