1. What is the FSSAI instant license modification order?

As per the order dated 29th December 2022 the authority has decided to provide Instant Modification of the Food license in case of addition/deletion of non-high-risk standardized food products.

• Instant Modification of license in the case of modification requests for the addition of any standardized food items under the Vegetable Oil and Processing Units and General Manufacturing kind of businesses, except High-Risk Food Categories 01, 08, 09, 13, and 99.
• The provision will only be offered to existing Licensed Manufacturers.
• The modification fee will remain the same(Rs. 1000), plus any additional charges filed by modifications to the pricing structure for licenses in the same category.

Instant modification of the license is subject to fulfilment of the above conditions and as of December 23, 2022, the same has been applied in the FoSCoS portal.

 2. Updated step-by-step guide for FSSAI instant license modification procedure

The following are the online procedure for instant license modification by logging into the FoSCoS website:

• After login into the FoSCoS portal, a dashboard will be displayed, By clicking on the Modification option, the FBO can modify the respective FSSAI License or Registration Certificate.
• After, a window will prompt by the system. Click on it to proceed further.
