To bring uniformity and clarity regarding the risk associated with the imported food items the FSSAI has come up with the HS codes along with the detailed risk categorization.
FSSAI has finalized 1515 ITC-HS codes of imported food items along with risk categorization of the same and shared these codes with customs for implementation in custom’s ICE Gate.
In this regard, to finalize the same, all concerned are requested to provide inputs to import division, FSSAI by 04.04.2020 on the following points.
- Crosscheck mapped ITC-HS codes with respective Food Code System and FSS regulation number.
- If any other HS code is missing from the list, the same may be informed.
- Any suggestions/comments related to the mapping of HS codes.
