Training Programme for Food Businesses from FSSAI to Mitigate COVID-19 Contagion

FSSAI is continuously working to ensure uninterrupted food supply to consumers whilst containing the risk of COVID-19 for the workers, customers and all participants in the food supply chain.

FSSAI had issued detailed guidelines for food businesses during the COVID 19 pandemic. Please read the detailed COVID-19 Guidelines.

FSSAI has also initiated a training programme for food businesses to enable and equip under Food Safety Training & Certification programme (FoSTaC) to train businesses to avoid and handle COVID 19 contagion.

The training will be conducted online through the empanelled Training Partners.

The training programme caters to all stakeholders in the food ecosystem comprising of manufacturers, packers, transporters, retailers and food delivery partners and aggregators.

The agencies/ NGOs serving food in places including langar, community kitchens etc. should also get their food handlers trained for COVID-19 precautionary measures.

A certificate of participation shall be issued to the trainees through the FoSTaC portal.
