FSSAI has laid down standards for FBO’s who are asking for a license to sell Alcoholic beverages through E-commerce means. As the sale of liquors/Alcoholic beverages come under the ambit of state government, in the case where E-commerce FBO’s intend to sell liquor/alcoholic beverages online then they must submit the permission or No objection certificates (NOC) from Excise department of concerned states as alcohol consumption rules vary from state to state.
